Role Description
This is a contract role for a Video Series Facilitator. As a Video Series Facilitator, your day-to-day tasks will include hosting and facilitating engaging video series content for educational purposes. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to create informative and captivating video content that enhances the learning experience. This is a hybrid role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, with flexibility for remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Host and facilitate each episode of the video series, engaging with guests (educators) in meaningful, insightful conversations.
- Work closely with the production team to shape the narrative and direction of each episode.
- Participate in the editing process, providing input to ensure that the final product aligns with our mission and vision.
- Engage with our community through social media and other platforms, acting as the face of the “Shule Ni Mwalimu” series.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hosting, journalism, education, or related fields.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
- Deep understanding of the educational landscape in Kenya.
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and bring out their stories in a compelling manner.
- Fluency in Swahili and English.
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge of educational content development and delivery
- Proficiency in video editing software or willingness to learn
- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in the education industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Media, Communications, or related field

Audition Activity
Prepare and present a short segment where you introduce yourself and share a personal story or experience that reflects why the theme “Shule Ni Mwalimu” resonates with you. Following this, conduct a mock interview segment where you demonstrate how you would engage with a guest teacher, drawing out their passion for teaching and the love they share with their students. Your approach should highlight your interviewing skills, empathy, and ability to create a connection with the audience.
