Getting started

Who can play?

This is the first PSL Trivia Show for Grade 8 learners in Kenya. Other grades can try the free Daily Challenge while they wait for a show for their grade.

Which phone or tablet do we need?

To play, install PSL Daily Challenge on an Android phone or tablet. You can register on an iPhone, but iPhone is not supported for playing this show.

I already use PSL Daily. Do I need a new account?

Keep your existing account. Update PSL Daily Challenge, sign in with your usual parent number and choose your existing learner to buy a ticket. You can also book on the website using that same number.

Do I need to update PSL Daily Challenge?

Use the latest version of PSL Daily Challenge from Google Play. On the Android device your learner will use, tap Update if itтАЩs available, then check that you can sign in and select your learner.

Open Google Play
Can we try it before paying?

Yes. The free Daily Challenge is five maths questions a day for Grades 3тАУ9. A show ticket is for a separate, live event with a host, timed questions and other learners from the same grade.

Booking and payments

Where do I book, and when does registration close?

Book here or open the Grade 8 show in PSL Daily Challenge and choose Book ticket. Use your Kenyan parent number, select your learner and pay with M-Pesa. The 150 places are first come, first served. Registration closes at the end of Sunday 15 November EAT or when the show fills.

Book on the website
How much is it? Do subscribers get a discount?

KES 100 per learner covers this one live show. ThereтАЩs no subscription charge for the show, and the same price applies to existing PSL Daily users.

Can I book more than one learner or use another M-Pesa number?

Yes. Select each eligible learner so each has their own ticket, and check the total before paying. You can use a different Kenyan M-Pesa number to pay. Keep using the verified parent number to sign in.

What if my verification code doesnтАЩt arrive?

Check that you entered the right number and that the phone can receive SMS. When the countdown ends, choose Resend code and use the newest code. If it still doesnтАЩt arrive, contact support. Keep your verification code private.

I paid, but my ticket still says pending. What should I do?

Choose Check ticket status to check the same payment. If you closed the page, go back and verify the same parent number to recover the booking. Keep your M-Pesa receipt and booking reference. If money was deducted and the ticket is still missing, contact support before paying again.

Find my booking
Can I get a refund if the app wonтАЩt let my learner join?

If a PSL Daily Challenge app failure prevents your learner from joining, we offer a full refund for the affected ticket. Submit the formal report before the show ends. Include your booking reference or M-Pesa receipt reference, the time you tried to join and what the app showed.

What if the show moves?

If the show moves, a refund option is available. Contact Kurasa with your booking reference for help requesting it.

Show day

When is the show, and how long is it?

The show starts Monday 16 November 2026 at 7:30 pm EAT. @masters welcomes learners in the waiting room from 7:00 pm EAT. The show runs for about one hour and should finish by 9:00 pm EAT. There are 30 questions across three rounds, with 15 seconds per question.

Meet the host
Where is my ticket, and how do we join?

On the website, verify the same parent number to find your booking and download the ticket PDF. To play, open PSL Daily Challenge on Android, sign in with that same number, choose the booked learner and open the show when the waiting room opens. You donтАЩt need to buy a second ticket.

What should learners bring?

Bring a pen and paper. A calculator and mathematical set are allowed. Use a charged Android phone or tablet. A parent can help with sign-in and payment; the learner answers on their own. Set up a separate device for each learner playing at the same time.

Do we need internet the whole time?

Yes. Keep the device connected throughout the show. If your connection is slow, turn off the optional host video. The questions run separately and still need internet. You canтАЩt go back to a question after its timer ends.

What if my learner arrives late?

A booked learner can join late during Round 1. Once Round 1 ends, new arrivals are counted as no-shows.

Can learners chat or turn on their camera?

Learners appear by nickname and can send preset cheers. ThereтАЩs no open chat, and learners donтАЩt need to turn on a camera or microphone.

After the show

Where can we see results and points?

Open PSL Daily Challenge after results are published to see how your learner did. Show points count toward the PSL season leaderboard once results are published.

Where will the next show be announced?

Check this website and PSL Daily Challenge for the next date and eligible grade. Your learner can use the free Daily Challenge in the meantime.
