In the heart of Moiben lies Bidii Comprehensive School, a testament to resilience and the power of a determined mindset. At the helm of this institution is Mr. William, a head teacher whose passion and commitment shine as brightly as his belief that “everything is mental.” Half of the school’s population consists of children who are either half orphaned or total orphans, yet Mr. William has not let these challenges define the narrative of his school. Instead, he has chosen to rewrite it with hope, opportunity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
My journey to Bidii Comprehensive began in January after a conversation with Mr. William left me inspired. His enthusiasm for Kurasa was infectious, and his hunger for knowledge and innovation was evident in every word he spoke. I remember him questioning with both curiosity and skepticism, “Winnie, shule yangu iko reserve sana, uko sure utafika?” This inquiry only strengthened my resolve. Reliability is a core value of Kurasa, and we strive not only to meet but exceed the expectations of our clients, ensuring their satisfaction 101 percent of the time.

The journey from Nairobi to Eldoret, and then down to the remote valleys where Bidii Comprehensive is nestled, was an adventure in itself. At one point, I found myself asking a bodaboda rider, “Are you sure people live here?” The remoteness was striking, but stepping onto the school grounds made every kilometer worth it. The warmth of Mr. William’s welcome and the evident love he has for his students were profoundly moving.
Mr. William’s dedication goes beyond academics. He is deeply invested in raising morally upright and disciplined children, fostering an environment where they can dream beyond their circumstances. His vision and commitment to his students resonate with Kurasa’s mission to empower schools and transform communities.
