2025 KCSE Results Release and Performance Snapshot
The 2025 KCSE results were released on January 9, 2026. A total of 1,932 candidates scored a mean grade of A. Female candidates performed better in several subjects, while male candidates led in STEM. Sub-county schools recorded higher performance than county schools.

Government Capitation Disbursement
The government has released Ksh 44.25 billion in school capitation, accounting for 50 percent of the annual allocation. The funds are meant to support school operations and reduce the need for unauthorized lunch levies or extra charges.

Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Update
A total of 24,000 newly recruited teachers are expected to report to schools this month, alongside 25,000 promoted teachers. The Commission is also recruiting 9,159 teachers to replace those lost through attrition, with serving interns awarded a 50-mark advantage.
