Overview

A scheme organises the term’s intended teaching. Begin with the right planning period and allocation, then check the individual lesson rows.

Interface labels are shown in English. Follow the translated steps below to find each control. Follow the sequence, review the recorded information and choose the next step.

Who can use this feature

Use your own school account. Teachers need the relevant class and learning-area allocations; reviewers need the school’s authorised review access. A visible menu does not grant permission to change another person’s work.

Before you start

Check school, academic year, term, curriculum and teaching allocation first. Keep the approved curriculum reference and school timetable available.

Confirm term dates and allocations. Open any existing draft instead of creating a second scheme.

  1. Open Schemes of work and My schemes. Check year and term, then choose the creation action.
  2. Select the intended class/area entries without an existing scheme and choose the starting method. Review before Create.
  3. Open the resulting planner and Plan weeks. Select the intended teaching weeks and review generated rows.
  4. Open each lesson row, check curriculum references, activities and resources, then Save lesson. Older add-lesson forms have their own required fields.
  5. Use Check and submit to review the scheme. Read the review requirements before sending it; creating or saving a draft is separate from submission.

On a phone, open the school menu and the feature named in the steps. Use the same school, year and class checks. Open one form or lesson at a time and scroll inside its panel.

Tap a selector and search within its list. Choose upstream fields first. Close the keyboard to reach lower fields and the final action; review the whole form before submitting.

Reopen the saved item from the list. Use landscape or a larger screen for a wide planning grid; the written steps remain available beside each walkthrough.

Save and verify

Reopen the scheme in the correct term and inspect its weeks and saved rows. Check its actual draft/review status.

Troubleshooting

A curriculum choice is missing

Confirm school, year, curriculum and allocation. Select the preceding item and wait for loading; clear the search filter. Ask the administrator to check curriculum support if the list remains empty.

A class cannot be selected for creation

It may already have a draft or reviewed scheme. Check My schemes and the term first. Missing allocations or term dates need administrator correction.

The action did not complete

Read the validation message and correct the named field. If a request may have succeeded, check the saved list before retrying. Keep the draft open until its saved version is confirmed.
