Katangini, Mwingi North: the headteacher who asked us to come
Usually Kurasa books the onboarding. At Katangini, the headteacher reached first. Hannah Kiva drove the dry miles into Mwingi North and found a staffroom that had already decided the session would happen.

The ask
The visit involved a long journey to a remote school, where the headteacher met the team at the gate. He had also invited a teacher from Kalatine Primary so the afternoon’s practice could reach a neighbouring school.
What the visit shows
Hannah led the regional visit. Mr William welcomed the team and brought another school into the session. Teachers opened Workspace to practise with their classroom records. Contact Kurasa for current school support.
In their words
Change has to start with one person.

The pipe
A school that asks is still a school that has to run the week.
Workspace is the record. Public schools often arrive through the structure they already trust.
