Kurasa analytics: a picture for the teacher, not a national dashboard

Data in a staffroom is useful when it is this class, this week, this strand. It is theatre when it is a country-shaped chart. Kurasa analytics are for the teacher who has to reteach on Monday — dashboards that follow the CBC record they already keep.

Practical teaching guide, updated September 2026. Use the examples to discuss lesson preparation, classroom observations and follow-up with your teaching team.

What you should be able to see

Who is still emerging. Whether the last formative landed. Whether the scheme is covering what it claimed. Individual profiles without reconstructing exercise books. Visual enough that you do not need a statistics course. Personal enough that a headteacher can walk into Friday with the same picture.

What you should not screenshot

Use the class and curriculum context when reading assessment records. In competency-based views, emerging, meeting and exceeding describe the observations teachers enter for the relevant learning focus.

Friday

Bring a clear picture of the class to the staff meeting: the task, the assessment evidence and the areas that need practice. Teachers should be able to read the record together and agree the next step.

The picture

Bring strands, not a pile.
