Name the board before the walkthrough.

The National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023 provides a framework for ages 3 to 18. Your school’s CBSE, CISCE or state-board syllabus guides the subject content. Start with the board, stage, subject and teaching language.

Local context

The framework and the board syllabus are different documents.

The National Education Policy 2020 describes a 5+3+3+4 structure: foundational, preparatory, middle and secondary. The textbook and the assessment a teacher prepares from still come from the board. Bring those, and say which language the class is taught in.

  • Tell us the board, the stage and the grade.
  • Bring the syllabus or textbook chapter the teacher is about to teach, and the language of that class.

Your curriculum, your teaching practice

National curriculum, IB or Cambridge.

We use your school’s national curriculum, International Baccalaureate (IB) or Cambridge International programme as the reference for planning, teaching and assessment. The programme, level, subjects and syllabus edition are agreed during setup.

National pathway

NCERT / NCF · your CBSE or State Board syllabus

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). We use the national curriculum framework and the syllabus followed by your school, with NCERT, CBSE and the relevant State Board or SCERT as references. Begin with the learning outcome or competency, lesson plan, classroom activity and formative assessment for your medium of instruction.

National curriculum reference

IB pathway

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Use the IB programme your school teaches: PYP, MYP, DP or CP. Connect inquiry, unit planning, classroom activities, reflection and formative assessment to the programme’s requirements.

IB programmes

Cambridge pathway

Cambridge International · IGCSE

Use the Cambridge programme and syllabus for your stage: Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, or International AS & A Level. Plan by subject and syllabus, keep assessment evidence and prepare the next teaching step.

The classroom routine

Prepare from the board syllabus. Notice the work. Plan the next period.

Workspace brings lesson planning, attendance and formative evidence into one record. In a walkthrough, we explore that record against your curriculum and confirm the setup your school would need.

Prepare from the syllabus you teach

Use the board’s chapter, not a generic competency list, and choose an activity the period can hold.

Keep the classroom note

Take attendance and record what learners could do with that chapter.

Decide the next period

Use the note before the next chapter, inside the board’s assessment calendar.

Evidence from the lesson

One chapter from the board is the right size.

A walkthrough can follow a single chapter from preparation to the next period. It does not replace board examinations or the school’s existing reporting.

Use the walkthrough to agree curriculum requirements, classroom setup and staff support before planning the first teaching cycle.

Implementation

One board, one stage, one teaching team.

  • Name CBSE, CISCE, or the state board, and the stage.
  • Share the language of instruction and a sample plan. Do not send learner names.
  • Agree a staff practice session in the language your team prefers.

Pricing

School plans in INR.

Compare the school plans in Indian rupees (INR). A classroom means one cohort of learners. Choose a billing period, then discuss curriculum setup, teacher support and the number of classes with our team.

Prices are per classroom: one cohort of learners, rather than one teacher or individual learner. KES and USD school-plan reference prices include applicable taxes. Local currency equivalents help you budget; your quote confirms the final terms.

Practical details

Make room for the way your staff work.

  • Language: tell us what teachers use for planning and instruction so we can review curriculum and staff support requirements.
  • Access: share the devices and internet connection available at school. Workspace requires connectivity; discuss any interruptions during the walkthrough.
  • Support: the Kurasa team at hello@mykurasa.com handles enquiries and agrees the onboarding scope with you.
  • Learner information: agree what your school needs to record and review the privacy notice before sharing personal data.

Curriculum resources and questions

Planning your first step in India.

Which board and syllabus should we use?

Share your board, stage, subject syllabus and teaching language. We review these alongside a lesson example to agree the curriculum preparation and support your team needs.

What should we bring to a walkthrough?

A current curriculum document, a sample lesson plan and a description of the assessment records your staff keep. Use anonymised examples. Include your teaching language, class numbers and available devices in the enquiry.

Can a network or education programme start a discussion?

Yes. Tell us the schools and levels involved, who will support the teachers and the planning or assessment routine you want to work on. We will agree the scope and a suitable first phase with you.
