Teacher resource

Teacher wellbeing is a finished week, not a self-care seminar

The April 2024 original listed self-care strategies as if a bath and a journal could fix a 60-hour week. Wellbeing that survives a rewrite is ordinary: a load you can finish, a colleague, a Sunday that is not a pile of books.

Teacher resource, rewritten from the mykurasa.com guide for this site in September 2026. It is not a 60 Decibels percentage. Where a 60dB piece already covers the same weekday job, that piece is a see-also — the figures stay on that ledger.

What actually helps

Close formative marks in the lesson. Share a scheme instead of rewriting it from zero. A mentor who still teaches. A head who can see the admin. Sleep. Those are staffroom facts. A resilience workshop that ignores the timetable is a poster.

Not the 60dB page

Sixty Decibels later asked whether Kurasa improved quality of life. That finding has its own URL and its own method note. This how-to will not paste the percentage. Retention is the career question next door — pay and posting included.

What Kurasa can claim

Time given back when the register and the plan stop living in a rumpled book. That mechanism is on the admin-time post. It is not a wellness brand. Journaling, if you keep one, is a private margin after the period.

The walk home. Adult teacher, school gate behind, late light. Human tired, not a wellness advert.

The Sunday

Finish the week. Then rest as if you meant to.

The 60dB quality-of-life post is the study. Admin time is the mechanism. Retention is the harder file.
