Terms of Service — Kurasa for Parents

Last reviewed 5 November 2026. These terms apply to the Kurasa for Parents Android app (package com.kurasa.mobile). They do not replace a school’s Workspace agreement. They are not the PSL Daily Challenge terms. Product commercial details should be confirmed by the Kurasa business owner if a paid plan changes.

Who these terms are with

Kurasa Africa Ltd, Nairobi, Kenya, provides the app. Contact: hello@kurasa.org; Nairobi 020 8000 208 and 0100 208 208.

You must be an adult. By creating an account you confirm you are a parent, guardian or other adult authorised to view the linked learners. Learners do not hold this login.

The service

The app lets a signed-in adult see school records a Workspace has linked and released to that family, receive notifications, comment where the product allows, update a learner photo, and optionally buy PSL access for linked learners.

Availability of a school feed depends on the school’s Kurasa Workspace, linking and release settings. We do not promise that every school module is present in this app.

Accounts

Keep the password to yourself. Do not share the login with a learner as their own account.
You are responsible for activity on the account until you delete it or we close it.
We may suspend an account that is used to access records you are not authorised to see, or that abuses notifications, comments or payments.

Payments, PSL access, cancellation and refunds

Viewing linked school records in this app is part of the family’s Workspace arrangement with the school. Optional PSL access sold in the app is paid with M-Pesa STK: you enter a Kenyan M-Pesa number, we start a prompt, and nothing is billed unless you confirm it on the phone. Prices, plan length and vouchers are those shown in the app at checkout. Google Play Billing is not used, and uninstalling the app does not by itself cancel a confirmed M-Pesa payment.

Access continues for the period the app shows after a successful payment. This app does not include a one-tap “cancel subscription” control. Write to hello@kurasa.org if you need access stopped or a charge reviewed. Confirmed M-Pesa payments are not automatically refunded. If a prompt was confirmed in error, or a payment succeeded but access did not, contact us with the M-Pesa receipt. Statutory rights you have under Kenyan consumer law are not limited by this paragraph.

Acceptable use and content

Do not upload a photo you are not allowed to use. Comments and shared scores may be seen by people you send them to, and leaderboards may show a learner’s name and results inside PSL views. Follow the school’s rules on learner images and results.

Privacy, changes and closing the account

Personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. We may update the app and these terms; the review date above will change when we do. You may delete the account in the app or through the web request page. School Workspace records remain under the school’s agreement.
