Linking a guardian to a learner on Kurasa allows parents or caregivers to view learner attendance, assessment results, and academic progress through their Kurasa account. This connection strengthens communication between school and home while keeping learner data secure and role-based.
Only guardians with an active Kurasa account can be linked to a learner.

How to Link a Guardian to a Learner on Kurasa #
Step-by-Step Guide #
- Open the learner profile
- Navigate to Students
- Select the learner you want to update
- Go to the Guardians tab
- This tab is located o the right side in the learner profile
- Click Add Guardian
- A search window will open
- Search for the guardian
- Use the guardian’s email address or full name
- Only guardians with active Kurasa accounts will appear
- Select the guardian
- Click on the guardian card to link them to the learner
- Confirm the link
- The guardian will now appear under the learner’s guardian list
Once linked, the guardian immediately gains access based on their role permissions.
What Guardians Can Access After Linking #
When a guardian is successfully linked to a learner, they can view:
- Attendance records
- Assessment and performance reports
- Termly and continuous progress updates
- School communications and notifications
This access improves transparency and supports learner progress tracking at home.
Important Notes to Keep in Mind #
- Guardians must have an active Kurasa account before linking
- One learner can have multiple guardians linked
- A guardian can be linked to more than one learner
- Removing a guardian instantly revokes their access
Troubleshooting: Guardian Not Appearing in Search #
If a guardian does not appear when searching:
- Confirm the email address is correct
- Ensure the guardian has completed account registration
- Ask the guardian to log in at least once to activate their account
- Refresh the page and try again
If the issue persists, contact Kurasa Support.
