The Marking Learner’s Attendance feature on Kurasa allows class teachers to record daily learner attendance accurately and consistently. Attendance is captured per learner and per date, supporting full-day, half-day, and absent records.
Attendance data helps schools monitor learner participation, identify absenteeism early, and support learner wellbeing.
Who Can Mark Attendance #
- Class Teachers can mark attendance for their assigned classes
- School Owners and Administrators can only view attendance records
Attendance marking permissions are controlled by workspace roles.
Where to Find Attendance #
To access attendance:
- Navigate to Attendance under the Class Teacher menu
- Select the relevant cohort (class)
- Select the month to view attendance records
- Click Mark to record attendance for a specific date
How to Mark Learners’ Attendance #

- Click Mark
- Select the cohort (class)
- Select the date
- Choose the attendance status for each learner
- Full Day Present
- Half Day Present
- Absent
- Add a comment where necessary
- Click Submit
Once submitted, attendance is saved and reflected in the class records.
