Under CBC, a cohort is assessed all year — quizzes, projects, observation — not only on the day a national paper lands. KPSEA at Grade 6 and KJSEA at Grade 9 are the public sittings that sit on top of that record. The school still holds the year.

Kurasa does not write KPSEA or KJSEA papers and does not forge KNEC marks. Pathway placement rules move. Date any policy sentence.
School-based assessment is low-stakes and frequent. The point is to see who is still emerging on a strand while there is time to reteach. KPSEA and KJSEA are national cohort assessments at the end of a phase. Mixing those clocks — treating a Workspace formative as if it were KNEC — is how a teacher tool becomes a rumour.
Workspace keeps the weekday: plans, attendance, formative marks against curriculum indicators. PSL Summative is a separate programme sitting, not a substitute for KPSEA. If a school wants a picture of reasoning under timed conditions, that is PSL. If a school wants the year on the page before a transition, that is formative work, closed while the lesson is still warm.
It will not publish fabricated cut-scores. It will not tell parents that Kurasa “prepares the child for KJSEA” as if the product wrote the exam. The September 2025 original ran long on policy. This rewrite keeps the mechanism: hold the year, then sit the national paper that belongs to KNEC.
