Teacher Utilization Leagues: twelve steps, not a second timetable

“Jitume uingie league.” The line from the February announcement is a Kiswahili dare: apply yourself and enter the league. The system tracks the work teachers already do in Workspace. It does not invent a thirteenth period.

12 Leagues, from Newbie to Supreme Educator, as published 2 February 2026

What it is

Teacher Utilization Leagues are a twelve-step recognition ladder inside Kurasa Workspace. Standing moves with utilization: lesson plans, attendance, formative work. The February 2026 note listed thresholds from Newbie League (no minimum) through Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers to Elite Champion at 95 percent and Supreme Educator at 98 percent, with promotion and demotion percentiles and inactivity windows of two to four weeks.

What it is not

Teacher Utilization Leagues recognise a teacher’s regular work in Workspace: preparing lessons, recording attendance and reviewing assessment evidence. Each teacher can follow their own activity through the teaching week.

The week

The standing follows the register, not a badge hunt.
