Who can use this feature
Use an account with school-approved administrative access. Check the school name before managing people or classes. If the action is unavailable, ask the school owner or administrator to confirm your access.
Before you start
Open the intended school and check its current academic year. Use the school’s checked staff, class and learner lists; resolve duplicate records before adding more.
The class must exist in the correct year, with the intended curriculum and learning areas. The teacher should have joined the school and hold the Teacher role.

- Read the learning-area row and its current teachers before changing anything. Compare it with the school’s teaching assignment list.
- Open the teacher selector for that row and choose the intended person. Selecting a teacher submits the allocation immediately; there is no separate Save button for that selection.
- Wait for the confirmation and check the saved teacher chip. Where related learning areas are assigned together, review those rows as well.
- Reopen the class and confirm the allocation remains. Have the teacher check their learning-area list. Review a removal confirmation carefully before unassigning someone.
Invitation, school role, class-teacher responsibility and learning-area allocation are separate checks. Check the saved teaching allocation even when a class was chosen in the invitation drawer.

Save and verify
The correct teacher appears on the intended learning-area row and can reach it in their own account. Check related rows and the separate class-teacher responsibility.
Troubleshooting
The teacher is already selected or absent from the search
A selected teacher may be omitted from the available choices. Inspect existing chips first, then confirm school membership and Teacher role. Do not add a duplicate user to make the name appear.
An option or person is missing
Check the school, your role, the academic year and the upstream setup first. Clear search filters and wait for lists to load. If the option is still missing, ask the administrator to check membership, class setup or allocation.
The action is blocked or the response is unclear
Read the message beside the field and correct the specific entry. If a request may already have completed, refresh and inspect the saved list before trying again. Avoid repeated submissions that could add duplicates or send messages twice.
