Who can use this feature
Sign in to the correct school with your own account. Teachers use their allocated classes and learning areas; school-wide views require an authorised leadership role and the relevant enabled module. Ask the school administrator to check access if a section is missing.
Before you start
Agree the teaching week and review scope. Check the school calendar, allocations and timetable before comparing records. Use the school’s configured curriculum: for example Ghana’s CCP content standards and indicators, or Kenya’s CBC/CBE learning areas. Follow the separate country guides when setup differs.
Confirm curriculum indicators, the class and review dates. Have the relevant lesson records and access to the assessment view offered to your role.
Required and optional fields
| Field | Requirement | Format or example | Prerequisite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Period, class and subject | Check before continuing | In Formative Intelligence where available, choose This week or a custom range. Custom dates must describe the intended period. Subject stays disabled until a class is selected; All subjects then covers that class. Read the context before interpreting coverage. | School calendar, timetable, allocations and the original saved record. |
| Indicator and observed learner scores | Required when applicable | Lesson quick marking needs a selected indicator and at least one scored learner before Save scores. Partial scoring is allowed; leave learners without an observation unscored. Use the configured rubric and check the saved status. | School calendar, timetable, allocations and the original saved record. |
| Next action, responsible person and review date | Check before continuing | Record these in your school’s agreed review notes. Link to the actual lesson, register or observation and describe what remains to do. Follow any additional fields required by your school’s review process. | School calendar, timetable, allocations and the original saved record. |
Picklist prerequisites
| Choice | Options come from | Earlier selection | If missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classes, teachers and learning areas | Existing classes, teacher allocations and configured curriculum. | Create classes and assign teachers and learning areas. Choose the relevant class before its dependent options. | Check active allocations, school, year and filters. Do not create a duplicate class or subject to fill a list. |
| Subjects and curriculum indicators | The selected class’s learning areas and configured curriculum hierarchy. | Select class before subject. For marking, select the required strand/substrand or content standard before the indicator. | Check allocations and curriculum setup. A disabled subject selector needs a class; an empty indicator list needs the earlier curriculum selection. |
Desktop walkthrough
Check class and learning area
Screen walkthrough · 0:12Download GIF ↓- Open the available formative assessment review. In Formative Intelligence, choose This week or the intended custom dates and check class/section filters.
- Select a class before choosing Subject; then narrow to the learning area and curriculum indicator where offered.
- Compare recorded observations with lessons taught and learners present. Separate an unobserved learner from a learner with a saved rubric judgement.
- Return to the original lesson or assessment record for a permitted correction. In lesson quick marking, choose an indicator, score observed learners and explicitly Save scores.
- Check saved coverage using the same scope. Plan another observation opportunity for missing evidence; leave unobserved learners unscored.
Mobile walkthrough
Check class and learning area
Screen walkthrough · 0:12Download GIF ↓On a phone, open the section menu and select the named view. The lesson-plan section selector may replace desktop tabs. Swipe the calendar or wide tables horizontally; use landscape when helpful. Check the week or date again after navigating.
On a phone, select period and class before subject. Scroll through the whole record and close the keyboard to reach Save scores; verify the same indicator afterwards.
After a permitted update, wait for confirmation and reopen the saved record. Check whether an earlier request succeeded before retrying. Review counts only after confirming the same dates, classes and filters.
Save and verify
The review identifies recorded observations, missing evidence and the next teaching opportunity. Coverage is not a claim about learner attainment.
Troubleshooting
Subject is disabled or an observation is missing
Select the class first, then check its learning areas and curriculum hierarchy. Confirm date filters and that Save scores completed; absence or no observation should not become a zero.
A view or choice is missing
Check school, role, enabled module, allocations and current filters. Complete the prerequisite setup first. A loading error or empty filtered view does not establish that no record exists.
