Who can use this feature
Use your own account in the correct school workspace. The school Parents directory needs an authorised leadership role. Class teachers can manage parent links for their assigned class. SMS pages require an owner, co-owner or administrator role. Families use their own linked account.
Before you start
A campaign must exist in SMS → Messages. You need SMS access to its school. Delivery details depend on provider reports and may arrive after the send confirmation.

Desktop walkthrough
Check the school, person and current record.
Screen walkthrough · 0:45Download GIF ↓- Open the intended message and check its audience, text, time and sender. Read Numbers, Delivered, Failed and Units used before acting on the totals.
- Use the recipient filters to inspect Failed and read the reason for each number. Correct verified contact errors in the family record. Waiting means there is no final report yet; allow time and check again.
- Compare the per-number table with the totals. Delivered is the reported delivery state, not a read receipt. Use Export only for the intended school purpose and keep the downloaded report private.
- Resend to failed recipients only after correcting the cause and reviewing the affected count. Retrying can use more units. Avoid sending the whole campaign again just because some recipients are still waiting.
- Open Units and billing to check remaining units, usage, team allowances and purchase history. One unit covers one message part to one number; longer or Unicode messages can use more parts. SMS units are separate from aiDE credits. Review current billing details before a separate purchase.
Mobile walkthrough
On a phone, scroll to recipient filters and swipe the table sideways to read Result and Detail. Return to the name column before correcting a contact. In Units and billing, scroll below purchases to the balance and budgets. This walkthrough does not make a purchase.

Record which contact was checked, the cause and the agreed next attempt. Reopen the campaign to review updated provider states and the unit balance. A purchased bundle or submitted payment request is not proof of delivery.
Troubleshooting
Totals have not settled or units appear different?
Check the exact campaign, school and time period. Waiting reports can update later. Compare message parts, eligible numbers, retries and team allowances. Ask support to investigate with the campaign reference and the minimum necessary contact details.
If saving or sending fails, keep the draft and read the error. Reopen the same record or campaign before retrying. Check what was saved or queued first to avoid duplicate invitations or messages.
